BREAKING: Reports of body found near Lincoln Road

Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed to Radio Newark reports of a body found just off Lincoln Road, Newark.

The police are not thought to be treating the incident as suspicious.


UPDATE @ 10:05am :

In a statement, Notts Police said: "Police are in attendance in Lincoln Road Newark this morning (Monday 4 June 2018).

"Officers are responding to a report of a body found in the area.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious."


UPDATE @ 11.30am: 

Exclusive picture from the scene. The grass area just off Lincoln Road - behind Yorke Drive - was cordoned off by police.

Radio Newark saw one police car and three to four police officers in attendance. The body was taken from the scene at 10:53am by the coroner.
