Radio Newark Presents...
It’s back for 2023 and bigger than ever before!
Radio Newark are delighted to see the return of the Newark Community Awards following an unplanned break during the Pandemic.
Radio Newark, working closely with Newark and Sherwood District Council as this year’s awards partner, will be increasing the awards to celebrate our local community and sports heroes across Newark and Sherwood on Friday 8th September at Kelham Hall.
This year’s event will offer a drinks reception, a 3-course meal, awards ceremony and afterparty. There will be 12 award categories including Community Champion, Community Group, Education, Sports Achiever, Sports Influencer and several more. Nominations will open in May.
Victoria Cozens and Clare Atherley are organising the Newark & Sherwood Community Awards on behalf of Radio Newark. Victoria said ‘Clare and I are delighted to be working alongside local businesses to put together these Awards to celebrate all things local and the wonderful people we live and work alongside.’
This year will also support local charities and groups, with profits from the Awards going towards three local charities and sports groups. Clare said ‘supporting local groups is an important factor when putting together the Newark & Sherwood Community Awards, we volunteer our time to make this event happen and are keen to give back and support our local community.’
Sorry you are too late to enter for the awards for 2023. Visit our website for more details on the event and how you can get tickets and still party with us!
