Red and amber warning’s issued for parts of the area this evening.
A red flood warning has been issued this evening to a part of Sherwood.
The warning was issued at 7:47pm as heavy rain continues to fall across the area, Ollerton and Edwinstowe are expected to experience flooding through the night.
River levels are rising at Mansfield The Dykes river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible this evening 30th September 2024.
Areas most at risk are Edwinstowe and Ollerton.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels to remain high until tomorrow, 01/10/24.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move family, pets and cars to safety.
Flood warning area: River Maun at Edwinstowe and Ollerton including the junction on A614 Mansfield Road and Ollerton Road.
Amber warnings, meaning flooding is possible are in place across parts of Newark & Sherwood where land is low lying.
