Arrests made following local armed robbery

Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Collingham Post Office this morning.

Staff were threatened with weapons including a knife at the Post Office in High Street, Collingham, at around 10.40am today (Thursday 2 January). 

Detective Inspector Stuart Temple, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Officers were on the scene within minutes of the initial call to help the victims and witnesses. Three suspects were located in Newark a short time later and have been arrested.

"Officers will continue speaking to witnesses as they establish the full circumstances and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward as soon as possible."
