Police have issued an appeal for information following a suspected attempted burglary in High Street, South Clifton on Saturday afternoon.
Police believe the man, described as white but slightly tanned and is thought to be aged from 40 to 50 years old, entered the property and picked up an axe before searching the home. It is then thought the suspect fled empty-handed when he walked in on the 11 year old girl in her bedroom.
Police have released information regarding the personal details of the suspect, described as quite short, with a fat belly but skinny legs, short grey hair and stubble on his face and neck. He was wearing a red, green and blue chequered long-sleeve shirt - lightly padded, denim blue jeans and possibly black boots.
