Floods Across The Newark Area

Recent heavy rain causes both the Devon and Trent to burst banks.

Recent spells of heavy rain have caused parts of Newark to flood. 

Both the River Devon and Trent are at a much higher level than normal for this time of year.

The environment agency is keeping a watchful eye on the position locally and is asking residents to be vigilant.
