Flooding is possible in low lying areas

As a result of further heavy rainfall river levels have risen again at the Lowdham river gauge.

Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the River Trent in Nottinghamshire, the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Woodborough Brook, Ouse Dyke, Thurgarton Beck and others.

Levels are expected to remain high as further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.

Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

This flood alert covers the following area:

Tributaries in Nottinghamshire including the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Carr Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Thurgarton Beck, Fairham Brook and others.
