Newark & Farndon: Flood Warning Issued

Flood Warning in place

The Environment Agency has continuing to monitor water levels along the River Trent in our area currently.

Despite the forecast of light rain for the coming days levels continue to rise and are expected to continue to do this overnight and into tomorrow morning. A time that they will peak has not yet been confirmed.

As levels continue to rise flooding is expected to low lying areas and some properties.

Newark & Sherwood District Council have advised that if you have a property that has previously flooded be please prepare for flooding and take the necessary precautions.
The warning has been issued that previously unaffected properties may be affected this time round.
