Witness sought in Newark fatal collision

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision on the 15 May between a silver BMW and a bicycle in Newark.

The crash happened at around 9.50pm on the A617 at the junction of Upton and Southwell. A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

We are appealing to a possible witness that has contacted the police to say they were walking past the area immediately after the collision but hasn’t left any contact details.  If this was you, or if anyone has any other information, please call us on 101, quoting incident number 906 of 15 May 2018.
