Amelia Chrispin
Today (Sunday 4th June) Amelia travelled to Rother Valley Country Park to take part in the Help for Heroes Junior Triathlon. The race was part of the Yorkshire Triathlon Series and was to be a 200m Open Water Swim (in Rother Valley Lake) -- 4km bike - 1800m run. The race was in the Tristar 2 age group and was a mixed gender race.
Amelia had a really good Open Water swim, quickly removing her wetsuit, grabbing her trainers, helmet and bike and then exiting T1 for the start of the bike leg in 3rd position overall and =1st girl.
Amelia worked hard on the bike section, leaving the girl she had left transition with after the swim, and came into transition for the last time still in 3rd overall and 1st girl. She continued to push herself on the 1800m run and crossed the line comfortably 3rd overall and 1st girl. A great end to a brilliant weeks racing.
