Bev back on form

Bev Hendley

One month after the Ironman UK triathlon and one month before Ironman Wales, Bev Hendley from Balderton slipped in a sprint triathlon held at Port Eynon, Wales as part of her build up for her next Ironman at Tenby in September.

The 750m sea swim was held in the beautiful setting of the bay at Port Eynon before a hilly 24km bike leg around the southern part of the Gower peninsula. The 5km run was unusual and tough in that the course was on the beach and sand dunes of Port Eynon.

Whilst Bev has been specifically endurance training for the 140.6 miles of the Ironman, she came a very creditable 13th placed overall female out of the 53 females that took part and 6th in her age group.
