Bev Hancock reports on a muddy weekend
Ella and I travelled to Cliff Lakes Water Park, Tamworth with for the 4th weekend of the Canicross Midlands Series. The course was very challenging due to ice and mud with some snow thrown in on Sunday for good measure. The event is held over 2 days.
Ella was amazing as usual, running with Louis the Springer Spaniel and finishing 1st overall on a 3KM course in the mixed 13 to 16 age group.
I ran the 3KM course with Luna
on Saturday and Sunday, placing 2nd woman overall. I also competed in the 5KM Masters Female class with Magic, and finished Saturday’s race in 3rd place. Unfortunately Magic was not feeling the best on Sunday, so 4th on the day and 4th overall, just missing out on the podium by 2 seconds! With just two weekends left in the series, both of us are doing well in the series points table.
