Isabel Darvill (Datalynx-Parenesis Cycling Team) raced in the North of England and Scotland in Rounds 2, 3 & 4 of the televised Women`s Tour Series against the UK`s Elite riders with the following results.
24th in Round 2 in Motherwell,
23rd in Round 3 in Aberdeen
29th in Round 4 in Durham.
This week moves on to Round 5 in Birkenhead.
A set of excellent results against the cream of Women`s racing in the UK.
Local youngsters again performed well at the Mallory Park Youth Circuit Race Series last Tuesday, William Hoyle (Newark Castle Cycling Club) was placed 6th in the Under 8 Boys Scratch Race.
Under 10 Boys Races, Jet Du Toit (Newark Castle CC) was 2nd in the Bonus Sprint and 3rd in the Scratch Race.
Under 12 Boys Races, Jude Du Toit (Newark Castle CC) was 4th in the Bonus Sprint and 5th in the Scratch Race with Team-mates Charles Hoyle in 6th and Samuel Murcott in 11th places.
Under 14 Boys Races, Finley Bass (The MI Racing Academy) was 7th overall where he was 6th in the Time Trial and 8th in the Scratch Race.
In the 2nd Round of the Lincolnshire Circuit Race Series held at the Yarborough Leisure Centre, Lincoln last Saturday afternoon, Finley Bass (The MI Racing Academy) convincingly won the Under 14 Boys Race.
Finally BMX news and Finlay Cranidge had a tough weekend at Birmingham. His father reports “Finlay gave 100% all day in a tough group, finishing with three 7th places, missing out on the quarter finals but he'll be back on it next weekend”
