Cycling week gets off to a great start

Newark Castle Cycling Club

Newark Castle Cycling Club held their first open time trial event for many years, as part of the Festival of Cycling.

The event attracted 79 competitors and there was an excellent response by members for volunteering to be marshals and catering, and CTT timekeepers.

·Male: Matthew Bottrill (time 47:43 over 25 miles – ave speed 31.4mph) – new course record

·Female: Jordan O’Mara  (time 1:01:51 over 25 miles – ave speed 24.3mph)
