Another day, another win
Saxon Shore Marathon (Saxons, Vikings & Normans 10 marathons in 10 days) day 5 half way! Got off to my normal starting pace, and found it was slow dropping which I didn't mind as long as I was still heading for a sub 3. Really enjoyed running on the glass section today and not all tarmac. The wind was very kind to us and wasn't as bad as yesterday. Course was 2 small loops with 2 large loops, on the way out on the last loop I was thinking 2:51/52min but on the way back I was getting faster and not slower! Looking at my watch again now thinking I could do a sub 2:50min. Just keep running and see what I get. fastest mile of the day was the last in 5min 59sec. Overall time 2:49:13sec and 1st back. Looking back at my marathons and this is the fastest 5in5 I have ever run. Back in 2014 on the last 5 marathons of 10 at GBC I Avg 2:52:12sec, overall 14:21:03sec. Also if I can sub 3 tomorrow it will be the first time I've done 6 marathons in 6 day at sub 3.
