Sixteen orange vests at Edwinstowe
It was a damp morning that greeted the sixteen Striders that were participating in the challenging Edwinstowe 10K trail race.
A huge congratulations to all our runners.
Jan Bailey lead Striders home in an amazing time of 36:31 coming 3rd overall.
He was followed Simon Palmer 42:35,
Mark Winter 45:55, Nick Beveridge 48:28.
The first ladies to finish were Sara Carter in 52:08 and Philippa Clarke in 53:04.
The only PB was achieved by Geoff Riley finishing in 55:15 PB with Graham Welsh in 55:43, Jason Priest 57:08, running together Di Holmes 1:09:09, Nicole Henderson 1:09:11 and Natalie Sellers 1:09:11. The duo of Leisa Pickles 1:11:14 and Lynne Boby 1:11:17 were next to finish and final pair to complete were Jenny Palmer and Anthea Moisey 1:15: 26
A massive well done to the five Striders who completed the Nottingham Christmas races at Holmepierre Pont.
In the 5K event Jon Rawson achieved a great new 5k PB of 22:04 .
While in the half marathon event Dan Arkwell ran sub two hours for the first time finishing in a new personal best time of 1:55:52 , followed by Hannah Thomson in 1:58: 25, new member Ruth Mountsteven completed her first official race as a Strider finishing in 2:04: 40 and Anne- Marie Davison achieved a new half marathon personal best time of 2:05:00 .
