Newark Athletic Club at the North Midlands XC
Saturday saw the 1st round of the North Midlands XC league for Newark Athletic Club at Derby’s Marketing Park. The weather conditions where far from ideal, Very hot and windy with temperatures of 22 degrees.
That didn’t stop some fantastic results being achieved by the club with our very own Pocket Rocket leading the Way;
Amelia Crispin coming home first in U15 girls with Alice Gibbs having a good run behind. In the same race Joseph Monk had a great run in the U13 Boys with a strong finish in 6th place.
Cloe Hubbard finished second place in the ladies race
In other results Alex Ellis came home 12th in the U17 boys. Tilly and Lauren Owens finishing 17th and 18th in the U17 girls.
The men's race saw Tim Bagguley 75th, Tom Hubbard 125th, Lee Braithwaite 141st and Gareth Owens 143rd.
