Good days for our Archers in Sherwood
Newark Castle Archers attended the indoor county championships at Joseph Whitaker school Rainworth, hosted by Sherwood Archers.
The competition was a “Portsmouth”, which is 60 arrows at 20 yards.
Steve Pepper, Ian Pepper, Brian Hopkinson, Craig Collier, James Blackshaw, Marti Voce and Jo Fleming all represented the club shooting in various bow styles.
At the end of a long day the club recorded two medals, both bronze. Steve Pepper in the Men's Longbow category and James Blackshaw in Men's Barebow.
