Striders out and about
We start this week's round up with news of last Wednesday's Beeston AC Trent 5 mile race. Stephen Tomlinson gathered at the Wierfields Recreation Ground with 258 other runners and finished the course with a time of 40:14.
To Skellingthorpe on Friday evening and Matt Patterson completed the Skelly Trail 10K in a time of 1:06:57.
As well as Newark, we did Parkruns on Saturday at Alvaston, Hove, Killerton, Sheringham, Southwark and Whinlatter Forest.
Dave Dews and Steve White were in Merseyside on Sunday for the Liverpool Rock and Roll Half Marathon. Dave crossed the finishing line in 1:41:52 and Steve, who thought it was a great event, in 1:50:54.
Stephen Tomlinson was back in action on Sunday, this time at the Humber Bridge 10K, which he completed in 52:02. Noel Henderson also took on the 10K distance, in his case at the Clumber Park May Trust 10 which he ran in a watch time of 47:06.
