It was a busy weekend for Newark Tennis Club as 3 teams competed in their respective Notts LTA divisions.
Men’s 2nd (Div 10) played away against David Lloyd West Bridgford C who were fielding a strong team. The 1st pair of Joe Murphy/Mal Langley achieved 19/17 but the 2nd/3rd pairs were not as successful as the team fell to a 79-29 loss.
Men’s 1st (Div 9) then played away against Farnsfield & conceded only 19 between them, Sam Smith/James Lalyk 32-4, Tony Gamage/Sam Butler 31-5 and Rich Hall/Gary Brickles 26-10 giving them a very convincing win.
The ladies 1st (Div 2) also saw action as they hosted their first winter match but fell 45-63 to Musters whose first pair could not be defeated.
