It’s been another busy weekend for Newark Tennis club as three teams attempt to secure more points in their respective divisions!

The Mixed 2nd team fell to a 61-47 defeat away against East Bridgford. The new pairing of Joe Murphy/Katy Dines were most successful with a 25-11 score line.

Newark’s home courts were busy as Ladies 1st welcomed local rivals Collingham and with some minor team changes, the second pair Jane Hendley/Sue Bilton added the most games to the scoresheet with 28-8. The final score a 64-44 victory for Newark

With the courts warmed up the Men’s 1st took on Sutton in Ashfield and both 1st and 2nd pairs, James Lalyk/Sam Smith, Rich Hall/Sam Butler, matched a 23-13 score line and helped the home side to a 59-49 victory.

A new year treat for Newark Tennis Club supporters as Sports Awards finalist Sue Bilton appears on Radio Newark Sport, keep a look out for the date.
