New manager takes on the challenge
Newark Town FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Damo Parkinson as First Team Manager with immediate effect.
Damo replaces Dewey Chappell who left the club three weeks ago.
An experienced manager and UEFA B coach with a wealth of experience with Lincoln City, Lincoln Moorlands and Gainsborough Trinity, Damo has just the right credentials to change the fortunes of Newark Town First Team.
Joining the club fresh from coaching the First Team at Flowserve, the new boss sees this appointment as a way to get back into a managerial role. He will be assisted by Tony Joynes.
After accepting the position, Damo said his hopes for the team is to get the players back enjoying the game, installing some new faces and making mid-table by the end of the season.
A current tutor and mentor for the National FA, the club has high hopes for Damo breathing new life into the senior side and working with our juniors for future development.
Damo takes the reigns with his first training session at the YMCA sports village this coming Wednesday.
