Tri Club making its mark
One of our areas youngest sports club Newark Tri Club had two members out competing on Sunday.
Mary Swindles was in Leeds competing in The British Triathlon Championship. Mary took on the Olympic Sprint distance of 750m swim, 40k bike and 10k run in 03:20:32 and took 3rd place in her age catagory, an inspiration to us all.
Jason Cobb was in Stafford in his first ever Ironman challenge. Taking on the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.2 mile run he came home in 06:25:17 and is now officially an Ironman.
