Another Busy Weekend for Notfast Running Club
NOTFAST results 15/01/2017
34 NOTFAST members took part in Parkrun this week. Kirsty Watson at Sherwood Pines, Ann Manley at Belton Woods and the other 32 in Newark. Parkrun PB’s this week for Kirsty Watson, Cliff Robinson, and Anna Wilkinson.
On Sunday NOTFAST took a huge team of 45 runners to Bramcote Park in Nottingham for the East Midlands Cross Country league, with NOTFAST making up 25% of the entire field in the ladies section. This particular event was hugely challenging, with some extremely steep climbs and descents, and not for the faint hearted. Many of the team were experiencing cross country running or the first time!
Diana Wakefield was the first NOTFAST runner back in 14th place, with Adam Holland the first back for NOTFAST in the mens race in 10th place. In the team placings, NOTFAST Senior Ladies came in 9th place, and the Veteran Ladiesteam came in an excellent 3rd. For the men, NOTFAST came 9th in the senior category, and 8th in the Veteran section.
In true NOTFAST style, all members thoroughly enjoyed the event, regardless of speed or position, and finished the day off with cake and a smile!
