Volunteering & Running
There were 30 club members over 5 Parkruns this week. PB’s for Damian Davies and Jayne Wheway It was great to Welcome back Colin Green to Parkrun after his Hiatus. John Miller also celebrated his 200th Parkrun
Last Wednesday was the last in the Notts AAA summer league races, held at Teversal. We had 27 members take part, full results at bottom of the report.
On Friday, 7 members braved brutal headwinds at the Sleaford Striders Summer 10k. First back for the club was Simon Lock in 44:46, Followed by Kim Etherington-Bates – 53:46, Jon Wilkinson – 57:12, Annette Taylor – 58:11, Fay Paterson 01:01:33, Jacqui Walton – 01:05:42, Angela Brown – 01:05:43
On to Sunday and the Newark Half Marathon, we had so many members volunteering to ensure it was a great day for all, we also had plenty of members running the route (full results below) and lots of HM PB’s: Jim Lovett, Maria Brambles, Cath Hare, Andrew Rowlands, Peter Brown (22 minutes off last year), Amy Borrill (and couse PB by 23 minutes), Barry Wood, Simon Keyworth, Leon Leong, Gill Good
And Course PB’s – Simon Lock, Chris Redhead
And first time HM runners: Vic Knight
