Collingham under eighteens who started the month by beating Lincoln United to become Lincolnshire under 18 County Champions and by the end of the April they had also won the league and league cup to complete the treble,
Individual performance of the month
Rugby star Jess Weaver captains England under eighteens against Wales at the Principality Stadium. Jess was our first ever young guest on the Sports Show as she helped form the fledgling Newark Rugby Club Girls, four years later she leads England out.
Moment of the month
Notfast’s Andy Pritchett proposes to Liz at the Cutty Sark during the London Marathon. She said yes and he went on his way to complete the race in five hours twenty nine minutes. A personal best with a difference.
Stars of the month
RHP Colts needing to win their last fmatches to claim the Mid Lincs under fifteen championship. After away matches at arch rivals Rustons, a midweek 6.30pm kick off at Grimsby and Easter Sunday at Skegness it was all down to the last match of the season and a home match against Walton. Two early goals from managers son Ryan Attwood settled the nerves as the trophy headed to Newark.
