Isabel wins the final round
After two 4th places in Rounds 2 & 3 of the Wakefield Winter Circuit Race Series Isabel Darvill racing for the Datalynx-Parenesis Cycling Team won the 4th and Final Round on Saturday. In atrocious wet and windy conditions, the Women`s E1234 Race got underway with the Organisers, Barnsley Road Club, threw in a few `Spot Primes` to liven the race up. On the 2nd `Prime` the race was decided when Isabel won it and continued with a 12km attack to the finish line to win the race and also lap the Field.
Most other local races effected by the weather again.
This weekend see`s Round 1 of the HSBC British Cycling Mountain Bike Cross Country Series at Sherwood Pines, Nr. Edwinstowe with Owen Wilby taking part in the Mens Veteran`s Race and Vanessa Holmes in the Elite Women`s Race. Both race for the Sherwood Pines Team.
