Newark Striders
Away from the VLM, Newark Striders where out and about;
Congratulations to our Longhorn Striders , with nine completing a tough trail race. In the 10K event first Strider to finish was Karen Hichisson in an impressive 56:48 followed by Becky Clift 1:04:25, Lynne Boby 1:10:47, Leisa Pickles and Beth Toone 1:11:09. Whilst in the half marathon event John Palmer and Jean-Louis Balestra finished in an great time of 1:59:18.
And lastly but certainly not least Beverley Hancock and Magic completed their first 10K canicross race and finished in an amazing time of 49:14.
There was the orange effect at Orston 10K with twenty Striders participating. The honour of being first Strider home went to Simon Palmer in a time of 43:24 coming 16th overall followed very swiftly by Mark Winter in 43:34, then Lewis Hopkinson 45:53, Peter Davis 46:28, Leroy Lindsay
46:50,Ted Behl 48:22, Dave Dews 48:26, Graham Welsh 51:48. First lady home was Michelle Starbuck in 1:03:01, the other ladies followed Jenny Palmer and Heather Green 1:04:45 , Bernie Divall 1:06:07 PB, Di Holmes and Natalie Sellars 1:06:31, Kim Scarbo and Louisa Sibcy 1:08:18, Sebrina Judge 1:08:25 PB, Anthea Moisey 1:15:33, Sharon Self 1:19:37, Jayne Young 1:19:50 and Tom Stimson 1:29:59.
