Newark Striders
The weather may have been glorious but it makes tough conditions for runners , a massive well done to everyone who competed this weekend.
We start in Lincolnshire with the Friskney half marathon , Mark Winter finishing first for Striders in 1:42: 16, Peter Davis 1:44:16 once again winning his age category MV60,
Leroy Lindsay 1:50:17 and Robert Hardy in 2:01:05 first HM as a Strider.
While Rob Wilkison completed the Sheffield HM in 2:24:10 and Steve Martin ran a great race in Norwich completing his half marathon in 1: 45:46.
Dan Enersby ran his second 10K race in two weeks and finished in a time of 53:54.
And finally the fourteen Stridehoe runners who braved the very sunny Brighton marathon. This race was all about team work , first pair to finish was Dave Tilley and Mark parker in 3:28:13 followed by Richard Scott in 3:34:44 and Mark Jackson in 3:45:26, first lady to finish Philippa Clarke in 4:07:22, new Strider Gary Tasker 4:09 :23, Andy Scott completing his second marathon of four in 4:14:14, and running his first marathon Nick Beveridge 4:15:04 PB, Emily Partridge 40:38:50, Jacqui Jackson and Stacey Atkins
5: 21: 04, Jen Owens also completing her first marathon and Kath Scott 5:48:19 , PB for Jen and Sue Watson also completing the trio of first timers in 6:03: 49 PB.
