Well done to the six Striders who survived " The Ripper" a 9 mile cross country race held in and around the village of South Rauceby, Lincolnshire. First Strider to finish the muddy course was Matt Silk in a time of 1:08:47, followed by the only lady Jess Gordon 1:12:07, Nick Beveridge 1:14:59, Tom Spelman 1:15:55, Andy Scott 1:17:29 and Stewart Partridge 1:50:14.
Nine Striders completed the East Midlands cross country on Sunday at Colwick. A tough hilly course James Rastall was once again first Strider to finish in 38:17 coming 24th overall followed closely by Lewis Hopkinson 39:12 , Dan Stephen 40:57, Mark Winter 43:55, Peter Davis 47:21 , Dave Dews 51:21 and Simon Price 51:30. Bringing the ladies home was Nicola Bradley in a time of 26:30 coming 29th overall and Elizabeth Slessor finished in 30:01.
