Down to the wire
After an initial change of match time due to rain Newark Tennis Clubs Men headed for an evening match in the bubble at Nottingham Tennis Centre for their final match of the summer season where they ended on a high with an 11-7 win.
Sam Smith/James Lalyk showed their skills as first pair taking 5 sets, with a lapse in concentration losing them the 6th set.
Rich Hall/Gary Brickles and last minute draft Ewan Kennett with the experienced Adrian Smith both took 3 sets each.
The team are currently 2nd in Div 6 on 10 points but now eagerly await the results of 3rd and 4th positions who could go above Newark.
