Newark’s first and only multi-sports Academy
The second taster session a Newark’s very first multi-sports Academy took place on a very hot Bank Holiday Monday,
Magnus CofE Academy and You Can do Sport have teamed up to provide male and female students aged between 16 & 18 a chance to study for a BTEC level 3 extended diploma and specialise in either football or rugby with the benefit of professional coaches.
The coaching team is lead by ex Forest and Notts County manager Ian McParland assisted by Andy Reid and Gary Charles with the coaching taking place at the brand new Sports Hub.
Jed Chapple leads the rugby coaching team and this will be based at Newark Rugby Clubs Kelham Road headquarters.
Both Newark Town F.C. and Newark Rugby Club are partners in this exciting new venture.
