Radio Newark's Winning Windows

Thank you all local businesses for taking part in #WinningWindows

Everyone loves a good window display! Over the years, we've seen some fantastic displays from local businesses, covering everything from National Days to seasonal holiday offerings.

As part of our #LoveWhereYouLive campaign for 2019, we were looking for local businesses to get involved and show their love of local by putting up a window display like no other... for Radio Newark's #WinningWindows!

The idea was simple. If you were a business operating from business premises that has a public facing/accessible window, we wanted you to decorate it up on specific dates in February and September.

The theme is of course 'Love Where You Live'. Can you find an imaginative way to display your love of local in your window? Maybe it's based around a specific event in local history or maybe it's a celebration of a local landmark.... the choice is yours!

Here at Radio Newark, we believe that all good efforts should be recognised. So not only did we shout about your displays on air, on our website and on social media, but we offered up some fantastic prizes...

First Prize: A four-week Silver airtime campaign (9 spots per day) along with creation of a standard thirty second duration commercial. Just in case you're wondering, that's worth over £1,100.00.

Two x Runner-up Prizes: A four-week banner advertising campaign on our website along with standard banner graphic design.

Radio Newark’s Winning Windows Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions relate specifically to the “Winning Windows” promotion and are additional to Radio Newark’s standard Competition Terms and Conditions.

  2. The “Winning Windows” promotion will from this point onwards be referred as the “competition”.

  3. The competition is run and operated by Radio Newark Ltd in conjunction with East Midlands Digital Media Ltd. who from this point onwards, will be referred to as “the promoter”.

  4. The “prize” consists of a main “first prize” along with two “runner-up prizes” of equal value.

  • 4.1. The “first prize” is a four-week Silver commercial airtime campaign on Radio Newark FM and  Radio Newark DAB. The first prize includes creation of a standard thirty second duration commercial, featuring one voiceover and library music.

  • 4.2. Two “runner-up prizes” are available of a four week website advertising campaign. Website advertising will be in the form of either a Leaderboard or MPU banner advertisement on the station’s website www.radionewark.co.uk. Standard banner graphic design is included within the prize.

  • 4.3. Prizes are as stated. The promoter reserves the right to amend the prize at their discretion.

  • 4.4. No cash alternatives are available for this prize. The prize is non-transferable.

  1. The competition is open to eligible businesses, trading from business premises within the NG23, NG24 and NG25 postcodes only. Business premises must feature a public-facing/accessible window for the business.

  2. Participating businesses must not be exempt from radio or website advertising.

  3. Businesses choosing to take part in the competition must register their participation online via the website at www.radionewark.co.uk/lovewhereyoulive before 17:00 hours on Saturday 14th September 2019.

  4. The Theme of this competition is “Love Where You Live”. Window displays are required to show a celebration/promotion of the area in which we live/the participating business operates. 

  5. Window displays must be in place between Monday 16th September 2019 and Sunday 29th September 2019.

  6. Participating businesses must clearly display a “Radio Newark Winning Windows” window display sticker in the window as part of the display, along with any other promotional material provided by the promoter.

  7. The promoter will photograph the windows of participating business during the competition. Photography will take place between Monday 16th September 2019 and Sunday 29th September 2019. The promoter reserves the right to use these images for promotional purposes.

  8. Following the closure of the competition, a judging panel will select the winners from the list of qualifying entrants, against a predefined judging criterion. The decision of the judging panel is final.

  9. Winners will be announced at 08:15 hours on Friday 11th October 2019 on Radio Newark and Radio Newark DAB during the Matt & Vicky Breakfast Show.
